Pack Runs FAQ:

  • What are Pack Runs?

Pack Runs are group dog walks that allow your dog to exercise and socialize with other friendly dogs. These runs are designed to provide both physical activity and mental stimulation in a safe, structured environment.

  • How are Pack Runs different from individual dog walks?

Unlike individual dog walks, Pack Runs focus on group interaction. They encourage socialization, teamwork, and fun while maintaining proper supervision and care for each dog involved.

  • What do I need to prepare for a Pack Run?

Please ensure your dog has a secure collar or harness and is on a leash. Make sure they are up-to-date on vaccinations and free of fleas or ticks. If your dog has specific needs or behaviors, let us know in advance so we can accommodate them.

  • Is there a limit to how many dogs can participate in a Pack Run?

Currently, there is no fixed limit on the number of dogs for a Pack Run, as each dog may have different needs. However, once we determine that we can no longer safely meet the needs of all dogs in a particular session, we will no longer accept additional dogs for that Pack Run.

  • What happens if my dog is not a good fit for the Pack Run?

If you believe your dog may have difficulty keeping up with the rest of the group, we recommend incorporating regular walks into their routine to help build endurance and improve their stamina. Once your dog is comfortable and ready, feel free to schedule a Pack Run, and we’ll ensure they’re integrated into the group safely and confidently.

  • How do you handle weather-related changes to Pack Runs?

As weather conditions can be unpredictable, we may reschedule Pack Runs in the event of rain or storms. Wet and muddy trails can pose safety risks, and we prioritize the well-being of your dog above all else. We’ll notify you promptly of any changes and work with you to find a suitable alternative.

Meet & Greet FAQ:

  • What if I have additional questions after the Meet & Greet?

While most of your questions can be answered here, we understand you may still have some specific inquiries about our services. After your Meet & Greet, you’ll receive direct contact information for our team. This will allow you to ask any additional questions, schedule meetings regarding your pet, or arrange future services with ease.

  • How do I prepare for a Meet & Greet?

We kindly request approximately 45 minutes of your time to complete the necessary process. Additionally, we ask that you bring copies of your pet's medical and vaccination records to ensure we have all the required information.

  • Are Meet & Greets mandatory?

Meet & Greets are required for all first-time clients to ensure the wellbeing of your pet and to provide personalized services tailored to your needs. This initial meeting also allows us to complete any necessary paperwork, making the process smooth and efficient.

  • What is a Meet & Greet?

A Meet & Greet is an opportunity for us to meet you and your furry companion, typically at the client’s home. During this visit, we’ll take the time to learn more about you and your pet, addressing any specific needs or preferences. If both parties feel confident about moving forward, we will finalize the process by completing the necessary paperwork and officially welcoming you as a client. This meeting ensures we’re the right fit to provide the best care for your pet.

  • What if my dog doesn’t do well during the Meet & Greet?

The safety of our team is our top priority. If your pet displays aggressive behavior, we may need to decline onboarding you as a client. However, if we believe the behavior is something we can address with time and patience, we may consider working with you. In such cases, we would require a consistent schedule to help your pet become familiar with our team and other pets, ensuring a positive and safe experience for everyone.

  • Can I book a service immediately after the Meet & Greet

Yes, you can book a service immediately after a Meet & Greet, but there are a few things to consider. For in-home boarding, we typically reserve this service for long-term clients. This allows us to build a strong relationship with your pet, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure during extended stays.

If your pet seems scared, uneasy, or displays hostile behavior, they may not initially qualify for a Pack Run, as we prioritize the safety and comfort of all pets. However, we’re happy to work with your pet over time to help them acclimate and feel more at ease in our care.

Pet Check-ins FAQ:

  • What are Pet Check-ins?

Pet Check-ins are personalized visits where we care for your pet in the comfort of your home. These visits include feeding, refreshing water, potty breaks, playtime, and any other specific care instructions you provide.

  • How long are the visits?

Our standard check-in visits last around 40 minutes. However, if your pet requires additional time or specialized care, we can discuss customized options to meet their needs.

  • Can I book a check-in for the same day?

Yes, same-day bookings may be available, but we recommend scheduling in advance to ensure availability. For urgent requests, please contact us directly.

  • What happens during a Pet Check-in?

During each check-in, we will feed your pet and provide fresh water. We'll take them out for a potty break or clean their litter box, depending on their needs. We will also offer playtime, cuddles, or companionship to keep them happy and engaged. If necessary, we will administer any medications, following the instructions you provide. Additionally, if requested, we will perform a quick home check, such as bringing in the mail or adjusting the lights.

  • Can I book multiple check-ins per day?

Yes and no. Our standard practice is to visit your home three times a day for approximately 40 minutes to care for your pet. If you require more frequent check-ins, we can discuss personalized options to meet your needs. Please note that additional check-ins may incur an extra charge, and the distance between your home and our location could also affect the pricing. We will provide a tailored quote based on your specific requirements.

  • What is the difference between a Check-in and a Board?

The difference between a Check-in and an In-home Board lies in the type of care provided and the time commitment. Check-ins are short visits, typically lasting 40 minutes, where we come to your home to care for your pet. These visits are ideal for pets who need attention while you’re away for short periods but do not require overnight care. In-home Boarding involves your pet staying at your home while we provide 24/7 care. We will stay in your home overnight and take care of your pet, ensuring they have continuous care and attention This service is ideal for long-term vacations for which you may not be able to bring your pet with you.

Dog Walking FAQ:

  • What is included in a dog walk?

Our personalized pet walking service offers one-on-one attention, ensuring your furry friend gets the exercise, outdoor enjoyment, and potty breaks they need. Choose from a 45-minute walk for $20 or a full hour for $25, tailored to fit your pet's needs. This service is ideal as an introductory walk, allowing us to build rapport with your dog and understand their unique personality. We also welcome other pets, provided they are trained and friendly, for a fulfilling outdoor experience. Let us give your pet the care and attention they deserve!

  • Can you walk my dog in bad weather?

For the safety and well-being of your pet, we have chosen not to walk in wet or slippery conditions. Our primary concern is preventing any potential injury or illness during their time with us. While we understand that weather can be unpredictable, especially on the East Coast, we hope you appreciate that your pet’s safety is our top priority.

  • Can you walk my dog if I’m away for an extended period of time?

Yes, we can provide regular dog walking services while you're away, whether it's for a few days or an extended period. We can schedule daily walks or as many as needed to ensure your dog receives the exercise and attention they deserve. However, for longer stays, especially for our long-term clients, we recommend considering our Boarding Service as an alternative for more comprehensive care.

  • How do you handle dogs that pull on the leash?

If your dog tends to pull on the leash, we’ll use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage proper walking behavior. We may also choose to use a harness or other tools to make the walk more comfortable and enjoyable for both your dog and the walker.

  • What should I provide for my dog during the walk?

For a smooth walk, please provide your dog’s leash, collar, and any other necessary items like a harness or medication. If your dog needs to take breaks, we can bring water along, but feel free to let us know if you’d like us to bring additional items.

  • Can I schedule a walk for a specific time each day?

Yes, we actually encourage this, as it allows us to build a stronger rapport with your pet. However, please note that due to our limited staff, we may need to adjust the timing of the walk to fit our schedule. We’ll do our best to accommodate your preferences while ensuring the best care for your pet.
